{"id":525,"date":"2020-06-29T13:51:00","date_gmt":"2020-06-29T12:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ecoanimalhealth.com\/?p=525"},"modified":"2025-05-27T13:09:18","modified_gmt":"2025-05-27T12:09:18","slug":"european-marketing-authorisation-for-aivlosin-wsg-in-pigs-for-treatment-and-metaphylaxis-of-m-hyopneumoniae","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ecoanimalhealth.com\/pt\/news\/european-marketing-authorisation-for-aivlosin-wsg-in-pigs-for-treatment-and-metaphylaxis-of-m-hyopneumoniae\/","title":{"rendered":"European marketing authorisation for Aivlosin<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> WSG in pigs for treatment and metaphylaxis of M. hyopneumoniae"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<section class=\"simple-text-section\">\n\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t<div class=\"row\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"col-12 waypoint\">\n\t\t\t\t<h2>European marketing authorisation for Aivlosin<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> WSG in pigs for treatment and metaphylaxis of M. hyopneumoniae<\/h2>\n<h5>29 June 2020<\/h5>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>European marketing authorisation for Aivlosin<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> WSG in pigs for treatment and metaphylaxis of <i>M. hyopneumoniae<\/i><\/p>\n<p>ECO Animal Health Group plc (the \u201cGroup\u201d) is pleased to announce that, as anticipated, a marketing authorisation has been received from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) for the use of Aivlosin<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> 625 mg\/g Water Soluble Granules (WSG) for the treatment and metaphylaxis (disease control) of <i>Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae<\/i> in pigs.<\/p>\n<p>The Group had previously announced a positive opinion on 22nd May 2020 with the marketing authorisation expected within two months.<\/p>\n<p><i>Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae<\/i> is the most common primary pathogen in pig respiratory disease and is a key instigator of secondary bacterial and viral pathogens. The EU market accounts for approximately 15 per cent of the world\u2019s swine market.<\/p>\n<p>Aivlosin<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>, ECO\u2019s patented antimicrobial, is used under veterinary prescription for the treatment of a variety of economically important respiratory and enteric (gut) diseases in poultry and pigs.<\/p>\n<p>Marc Loomes, CEO, commented:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u201cWe are very pleased that this marketing authorisation has been received after only one month and we look forward to offering Aivlosin<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> for the treatment of Mycoplasma infections in this important market.
